Meet the Management Team
In his leadership position of Co-CEO (Retail and Operations) at Woops!, Gil Kiryati is responsible for day-to-day operations and retail growth. Before joining the WOOPS! management team, Mr. Kiryati provided consulting to WOOPS!, along with various other small retail companies, and served as CEO of Aroma Espresso Bar. Mr. Kiryati’s background includes proven success in increasing revenues, expanding markets and spearheading innovation in the restaurant and retail industries, with particular focus on all aspects of restaurant franchising, from recruitment to site selection and business development.
As Co-CEO (Strategy and Finance) of Woops!, Raj Bhatt is responsible for growth strategies, acquisitions and strategic operations. Prior to joining the Woops! management team, he was managing director of The Abacus Group, which owned and managed a group of privately held companies in the U.S. and Canada, including Lightbridge Academy and Aroma Espresso Bar. Mr. Bhatt has an MBA in Finance from Harvard Business School and extensive experience in franchising, small business investing, growth capital and mergers and acquisitions.
Tal Avivi, our Founder and VP of Branding and Design, is the creative genius behind our brand. Ms. Avivi helped grow the business from a seasonal boutique pop-up store at Bryant Park into a multi-unit operation. Previously, Ms. Avivi served as the CEO of Woops! Prior to that, Ms. Avivi has had more than 15 years of experience in the food services industry in various capacities with numerous hospitality and food establishments.
Gal Danay is the Chief Operating Officer of FoodArt Bakery. For more than five years he served as Franchise and Lead Operator for Aroma Espresso Bar, overseeing the launch and operation of three New York City Aroma Espresso Bar locations, which brought in a combined total of more than $5 million of revenue. Mr. Danay is a CPA with proven success in starting retail operations, increasing revenues, hiring and growing a large employee base and managing restaurants.
Ellie Lippel serves as our Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. Ms. Lippel has a diverse background in communications, project development and accounting management. Ms. Lippel leads the development and implementation of all marketing and public relations strategies, social media engagement and website development, as well as cultivating B2B and other strategic partnerships. Prior to her current position, Ms. Lippel operated an accounting consultancy (January 2013 to May 2014). For seven years prior to that, Ms. Lippel served as the Financial Operations and Special Projects Manager of Aroma Espresso Bar.
