Meet the Management Team

The Woops! management team is made up of professionals who formerly operated an incredibly popular, international espresso bar franchise. They have a wealth of experience in establishing and growing franchise systems — and they have been franchise owners themselves, so they understand the challenges and opportunities small business owners face.

 

  • Gil Kiryati, CEO & Co-Founder

    Gil is responsible for day-to-day operations and retail growth. Before joining the Woops! management team, he provided consulting to Woops!, along with various other small retail companies, and served as CEO of Aroma Espresso Bar. His background includes proven success in increasing revenues, expanding markets and spearheading innovation in the restaurant and retail industries, with particular focus on all aspects of restaurant franchising, from recruitment to site selection and business development.

  • Raj Bhatt, CFO & Co-Founder

    Raj is responsible for growth strategies, acquisitions and strategic operations. Before joining the Woops! management team, he was managing director of The Abacus Group, which owned and managed a group of privately held companies in the U.S. and Canada, including Lightbridge Academy and Aroma Espresso Bar. He holds an MBA in finance from Harvard Business School and has extensive experience in franchising, small business investing, growth capital and mergers and acquisitions.

  • Tal Avivi, Chief Design and Creative Officer & Co-Founder

    Tal is the creative genius behind our brand. She helped grow the business from a seasonal boutique pop-up store at Bryant Park into a multi-unit operation. She has more than 20 years of experience in the food-service industry in various capacities, with numerous hospitality and food establishments.

  • Gal Danay, COO & Co-Founder

    Gal served for more than five years as Franchise and Lead Operator for Aroma Espresso Bar, overseeing the launch and operation of three New York City locations, which brought in a combined total of more than $5 million of revenue. He is a CPA with proven success in starting retail operations, increasing revenues, hiring and growing a large employee base and managing restaurants.

  • Benjamin (Ben) Woodruff, Vice President of Franchise Development

    Ben has a background in finance and was a sales consultant for Landmark Interactive/Franchise Gator for eight years. He has been a franchise investor in several systems, including some of the first franchisee-owned units in the Woops! system. He has more than 10 years of experience in the franchise industry.

  • Arbel Snir, Executive Chef

    Arbel Snir comes to Woops! after a distinguished international career. She attended Bishulim Cooking Academy then worked with leading chefs such as Johnathan Roshfeld at Yavne Montifiore, where she learned about high-pressure restaurant environment and was responsible for pastry production. She also studied at the Institut Paul Bocuse in France, working with the legendary Paul Bocuse. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in French cooking with a specialization in pastry, Arbel continued her culinary journey by interning at various French restaurants, including three-Michelin-star restaurant Maison Troisgros. After moving to New York City, she worked as a head pastry chef at an artisanal restaurant and then opened RDV Harlem with Chef Kfir Ben-Ari before coming to Woops!, where she relishes the freedom of being artistic and crafting new pastries.
