Woops! Franchise to Be Featured on MSNBC

It’s hard to keep a good thing under wraps. That’s why the Woops! macaron franchise concept has gotten a lot of media attention since its founding, and it’s why well-known outlets such as MSNBC continue to come calling.

Members of the Woops! corporate team recently discussed how Woops! began, its evolving brand strategy and plans for future growth on the cable network’s “Your Business” broadcast. The show’s team searches out unique and dynamic brands, and they were very interested in what Woops! has to offer, says Lori Moher, Vice President of Corporate and Event Sales.

Business show homed in on differentiators

“The MSNBC crew wanted to know what we are, and so we had a wonderful opportunity to explain about macarons themselves, and also talk about our growth as a gifting company,” Moher says. “I believe they came in just thinking that a Woops! macaron franchise was just one type of operation, and they learned that we are much more.”

For instance, the interview talked about both the kiosk and bake shop franchise models, as well as Woops! rapid growth as a gifting company thanks to customizable boxes and sleeves. That showcased the brand’s ability to grow in any size market through both a physical presence, as well as online orders and gift packages.

Multiple streams of revenue explored

“The story we were able to tell is that of a fairly new franchise that is working hard to open up many paths to profitability for franchise owners,” Moher says. “We don’t want to be known for one type of franchise model, or a single product. Every Woops! macaron franchise is capable of so much more, and that’s why MSNBC was so excited to talk to us.”

In fact, much more footage was shot than will be used in a four- to five-minute segment, so the show will be taking some of those interview snippets and photos to use through its social media platforms. That means more publicity for Woops! and more exposure for franchise owners, Moher notes.
