Tulane graduate brings our authentic French cookie to the Big Easy with new Woops! macaron kiosk
One of the greatest food capitals of the world can now add Woops! macarons to its list of French delicacies. Our authentic macaron franchise is now bringing authentic European baked goods and French macarons to New Orleans with the grand opening of our first Louisiana location in the heart of the bustling French Quarter.
Audrey Le, an avid traveler and graduate of Tulane University, opened the inaugural Woops! New Orleans kiosk in late November on the top floor of the The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk, a popular retail destination in the Central Business District featuring restaurants and upscale retailers. The owner of the new Woops! Riverwalk location is already taking advantage of her new kiosk’s central location by participating in a holiday pop up shop co-hosted by a local yoga studio.

Audrey fell in love with macarons during her French studies days at nearby Tulane University. “I was doubtful I could find any (macarons) as good as the ones I’ve had in France. I used to carry boxes and boxes on the airplane home for my friends because I wanted them to have the same experience,” she says. “After I tasted the Woops! macarons I knew I wanted to bring it home to my whole city.”

All of our delicious Woops! products are made by hand in our artisanal bakery in New York City, fast-frozen and shipped to our franchise locations across the United States. Kiosks receive pre-baked, frozen products that are thawed for sale — a very simple process that takes only a few minutes to complete. Because Woops! takes care of producing our treats, our franchisees have only a simple inventory to manage and can focus on growing their businesses.
