Woops! Macarons Offers Consumers a Tasty and Memorable Alternative to Traditional Cakes

NEWS & INSIGHTS: Featured

Woops! Special Event Sales Provide Ongoing Revenue

Woops!, the fastest-growing American macaron brand, offers a unique alternative to traditional cakes that can’t be found at local bakeries. Our macaroon pyramids are works of art that instantly become a conversation starter at any event, from wedding showers to birthday parties. Our franchisees benefit from the added revenue stream and brand awareness spread by fans sharing photos of our macaroons on social media.

Woops franchise owners in Oklahoma City

Our flagship New York bakery ran a Thanksgiving promotion where shoppers received a gift card with the purchase of any macaroon pyramid or gift box of 24. Woops! owners have the flexibility of running creative promotions such as this holiday special and our customers love the creative license they have when they serve Woops! macarons at a party. Unlike a predictable, traditional cake, consumers have 20 plus flavors to choose from and can even match a special event color scheme.

Founded over a decade ago in Bryant Park in the heart of New York City, Woops! has quietly become the largest producer of handmade, authentic French macarons in the U.S. Currently Woops! has more than 40 locations nationwide and produces over 22,000 macarons a day. Entrepreneur magazine and several other influential franchise publications have singled out Woops! as a successful and affordable franchise investment.

Boca Raton Woops! franchisee Alexandra Platonova says within her first few months of operation Woops! macaroon pyramids were a hit because of their uniqueness, flavor and convenience. “I’ve been getting great feedback from customers about our products,” Alexandra says. “The macaron pyramid is a show stopper and a conversation piece. People will talk about the macaroons long after the party. Plus a single serve macaroon is great because there is no waste, no cutting and no mess.”

Our streamlined business model requires no baking experience

Macarons are not a simple dessert to make at home. Today’s consumers are attracted to higher-end, hard to find products. All Woops! products are made by hand in our artisanal bakery in New York City,  fast-frozen and shipped to our franchise locations across the United States. Kiosks receive pre-baked, frozen products that are thawed for sale — a very simple process that takes only a few minutes to complete.

Because our franchisees have only a simple inventory to manage, they can focus on growing their businesses. Our sleek and modern kiosks do well in upscale, busy retail shopping malls and require a minimal staff. They attract impulse shoppers who quickly become regular Woops! customers. With seasonal promotions and top-notch marketing support from our home office and experienced leadership, franchisees will find that brand awareness builds as quickly as consumer demand for their Woops! macarons.

Ready to introduce your city to the colorful world of French macaroons?

Woops! is rapidly expanding far beyond our proven success in the highly competitive New York City and Tri-State areas, as we work on a strategic growth plan to have 100 locations nationwide by early 2018.

While we don’t require prior baking experience, we do actively seek people who have managerial experience and an entrepreneurial drive. We want people who will follow the Woops! proven business model, who want to grow a team, who love people and want to support their communities while creating a great life for themselves and their families.
